Kristine Maiorana is a freelance writer with published works in ‘The Best Way to Go’ London travel magazine, ‘Idiom 23’ and ‘ABC Open’. She is a member of Queensland Writers Centre, Mackay Writers Group and the Queensland Arts Council.
Kristine received RADF funding to attend the 2013 (CYA) Children & Young Adult Conference in Brisbane and she also participated in the Mackay Creative Communities project as guest speaker and creative writing tutor at two local schools.
Kristine has attended many Professional Development courses and festivals over the past few years. She attended the Capricorn Coast Literary Festival, Curtis Coast Literary Carnival, ‘Making Picture Books’ with Katherine Battersby and ‘Kanomi’ the CQ University 3 day writers retreat at North Keppel Island.
Kristine has also attended Writefest, ‘Masterclass Editing’ with Dionne Fiford, ‘Mentoring the Muse’ Writer’s Retreat, ‘Writing Your Life’ with Patti Miller and is a regular to Whitsunday Voices Youth Literature Festival in Mackay each year.
